Gerard LEE, CFA
Chief Executive Officer

Gerard Lee is Chief Executive Officer at Lion Global Investors. He also assumes the role of Chief Investment Officer.

Gerard was Chief Investment Officer of Temasek’s Fund Management Division (FMD) from 1999 to 2004. He later became Chief Executive Officer of Fullerton Fund Management Company, a third-party asset management company, which he had transformed from FMD.

Before joining Temasek, Gerard had held positions as Deputy Chief Investment Officer at Deutsche Asset Management Singapore, Head of Fixed Income Sales at SBC Warburg Singapore and Head of Government of Singapore Investment Corporation’s New York Office.

Gerard, a CFA charterholder, graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in 1984. He is also an IBF Distinguished Fellow.

TEO Joo Wah, CFA
Chief Strategist

Teo Joo Wah is the Chief Strategist at Lion Global Investors. He is responsible for making asset allocation calls and in addition, overseeing the implementation of key portfolio strategies and developing new ones. He reports to the CIO and helps manage the firm’s investment division.

Joo Wah has 24 years of investment experience and 4 years of banking experience. Prior to joining Lion Global Investors, he served 9 years as Head of Equities at Fullerton Fund Management Company, which he helped transform from Temasek Holdings’ Fund Management Division (FMD). Joo Wah started his investment career in 1992 as an equities portfolio manager at Temasek’s FMD. Prior to Temasek, he worked at DBS Bank from 1988 to 1992.

Joo Wah graduated from the National University of Singapore with a degree in Business Administration. He holds the CFA designation. He has also been recognised by The Institute of Banking & Finance (IBF) as an IBF Fellow.

LIM Shyong Piau
Chief Marketing Officer

Lim Shyong Piau is the Chief Marketing Officer of Lion Global Investors. He is responsible for business development, distribution and client servicing within the firm’s domestic and international businesses, covering both distribution and institutional segments.

Prior to Lion Global Investors, Shyong Piau was the Managing Director (Head of Singapore office) at Invesco Asset Management Singapore Limited from 2006-2013. He was responsible for all business development activities in South East Asia, Korea and India markets. He also spearheaded the coverage of Private Wealth segment in Singapore and was an inaugural member of Invesco’s Global SWF Working Group. With more than 20 years of experience, Shyong Piau also spent several years as Head of Institutional Business at Vanguard Investments and APS Asset Management.

Shyong Piau graduated with an Executive MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He also holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and Bachelor of Computing from Monash University.

James TAN
Chief Operating Officer

James Tan is Chief Operating Officer at Lion Global Investors, overseeing the operations, finance, technology and risk and compliance functions.

James has over 22 years of experience in operations and information technology. Prior to Lion Global Investors, he was a director at Credit Suisse where he headed up its Asia Cash Securities Operations. He was previously Executive Director at Morgan Stanley Investment Management Company, the asset management arm of Morgan Stanley, where he oversaw its Asia Pacific operations.

James graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1989 with a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours).
